Indian Soul was founded from the vision of Smruti Thakkar, a journey that began in her native India and found its way to the heart of Paris, where she fell in love with the elegance of French living.

 She is inspired by the memories of her childhood spent with her Parents & sister in Ahmedabad, a city nestled in Gujarat, in the northwest of India that continue to resonate in her soul. There, she saw her mother's skilled hands embellishing her clothing with intricate embroidery and decorating her home with her artworks.These experiences extended beyond her home, she was introduced to the women with a  reservoir of creativity, but lacked the platform or opportunity to showcase their talents and make a sustainable living from it.

 At Indian Soul, she wants to honour the lives of women in India who are blessed with extraordinary  talents. Her dedication to creating a platform for these gifted individuals is the driving force behind Indian Soul.

 We are not just a brand; we are a bridge between the rich cultural tapestry of India and the world. We aim to empower Indian culture, lifestyle, and resources, making them accessible to a global audience while improving the lives of the talented Artisans we collaborate with.

 Smruti's love for Culture and Art extends beyond her family's creative pursuits. She delved into the ancient Indian classical dance form, Bharatnatyam, a dance form that is over 2000 years old. This passionate immersion into the world of dance has not only enriched her life but also continues to inspire her creative spirit.

 In her journey of self-discovery and holistic living, Smruti practices meditation to maintain a sense of perspective and gratitude for all aspects of her life. This unique blend of culture, creativity, and self-awareness has fuelled her commitment to the vision of Indian Soul.
